Congrats on deciding to start your business in Japan! We recommend applying for a Startup Visa first, then switching to a Business Manager Visa after 1-2 years.
Apply for approval at the Foreign Entrepreneurship Promotion Organization in the prefecture where you'll base your business
Demonstrate you can launch in 1-2 years
Key criteria: a feasible plan to raise 30 million JPY, hire one long-term resident or a Japanese, and have JLPT N2 Japanese proficiency (you or employee)
Get in touch with companies like TSUCREA for legal support
Have a proxy (scrivener or friend) apply for your CoE in Japan
Once you get your "Startup Preparation Activity Plan Confirmation Certificate", have a proxy (scrivener or friend) to apply for your CoE in Japan
The Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) is an essential document for your Visa
Processing Time: Around 1-3 months
